Does The Persona 5 Anime Spoil The Game
In that location is no uncertainty that Persona 5 was one of the nigh successful JRPGs to always exist released on consoles. The game featured an interesting story, deep graphic symbol evolution, and a trendy boxing organisation that added hours of playtime for fans. The anime, like the games in the series before it, as well received an anime adaption that retold the events of the vanilla game.
While fans enjoyed the events being retold, they couldn't help but notice that there were some things that were changed around. While there was no style the entire sixty-hour game could fit into 26 episodes; even some key moments were tweaked.
x No Kasumi

The anime never got whatsoever OVA content afterwards it was completed. This is a bit surprising since Persone five Royal launched introducing Kasumi and introducing some other semester that helped to completely tie up Akechi'due south character.
While it would have been hard to redo the entire series to match Royal, some quick OVA's could have been added in to introduce Kasumi and animate the concluding arc of the game.
9 Lackluster Personas

Playing the games introduces fans to a huge roster of Personas, simply the anime didn't exactly capture this. But Rin was ever shown with an upgraded persona while the rest of the cast kept their base ones.
Many fans were disappointed not to meet the rest of the Phantom Thieves become their upgrade and felt as if they were likewise underpowered by the stop of the show.
eight Confidants Role
![Akechi and Joker](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Ren-and-Akechi-in-Persona-5-the-Animation.jpg)
Confidants probably got the worst part of content cuts. While every confidant was shown, their roles were profoundly reduced, with their plots being nigh completely skipped altogether in favor of the principal plot—a major difference from the video game.
This put off many fans who were hoping to see their favorite side characters' story brought to life or the rest of the phantom thieves receive more character development.
7 Confidant Cameos
![Persona Beach Scene](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Persona-5-The-Phantom-Thieves-Driving-Together.jpg)
The mode the evidence tried to include the confidants was mostly having them show upward in the background. This led to many of them appearing before they were supposed to in the game'south story, which bothered some viewers.
Haru, in particular, appears early as she is shown with her plants in the 2d episode, and past the sixth episode, Hifumi pops up on a phone app earlier her official advent. This wasn't necessarily a bad matter, but couldn't make up for the lack of side-story content in the bear witness.
6 Romantic Relationships
![Futaba in Persona 5 the Animation](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Futaba-in-Persona-5-the-Animation-1.jpg)
Another thing that was pretty much scrapped completely were the romantic elements the game is pop for. In that location were almost no references to Rin being interested in any of the girls in the anime show.
While it would have been hard to decide who to officially pair him with, even the embankment scene was fabricated to be more than of a platonic event in comparing to the game.
5 Tieing Upwardly Story Ends
![Kamoshida](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Persona-5-Kamoshida.jpg)
The lack of confidant content meant that many stories weren't tied up as neatly in the anime serial. This is especially apparent with the other phantom thieves who had to learn to cope with their problems when hanging out with Rin.
The events showed Ann coming into her ain, Haru learning to be more confident in her company, and even Ryuji coming back from his abuse on the track team. Many of the important grapheme events just weren't really touched on in the animation.
four Black Mask Mention
![Akechi in Casino](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Akechi-Joker-Fight-together-Cropped.jpg)
1 small just important detail that was introduced a bit later in the story was the mention of some other Persona user. Kaneshiro actually mentions that in that location is a blackness-masked Persona user instead of fans hearing the information from Madarame.
This helps to usher in the game'due south main threat a bit later on and gives fewer hints to Akechin being a major adversary instead of just a detective compared to the anime.
3 Akechi's Death
![Akechi ending](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Akechi-Joker-bad-end-Cropped.jpg)
Akechi's death scene is different in the anime than in the game, but he does die in both interactions. In the game, his shadow is most likely the 1 who kills him every bit his signal disappears after a gunshot.
In the anime, though, Akechi is able to kill his shadow but is walled in with minor enemies that then impale him instead. This pocket-size detail does make the tone a little less dramatic in the anime.
2 No Calendar
![Joker, Ann, and Morganna](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Persona-5-The-Animation-Morgana-Joker-and-Panther.jpg)
Ane of the large things that fans wish would have been represented in the anime was the agenda system. This was an important way to tell when of import events were happening and acted as a count downwardly to the casino heist for instance.
Having the calendar pop in the corner, in-between scenes, or even with the episode titles would have made many fans much happier near the way the game was adapted into an anime and would accept been a great add-on from the video game.
1 Rin is Pushed to the Sideline
![Rin](https://static1.cbrimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Persona-5-The-Animation-Joker-Featured-Image.jpg)
Despite the fact that the anime was more than focused on the main story, fans felt that Rin was pushed to the side. This is because Rin actually seems to accept less to do with the way the story flows and doesn't give every bit much input to the other characters.
While much of his dialogue was found in side-missions, even some of his signature battle and exploration phrases didn't brand their fashion into the anime.
